Overview & Mission

The residency program at The Department of Urology, Kasr Al-Ainy Medical School, Cairo University is dedicated to the building of outstanding, versatile urologists. It is our goal that graduating residents be as equally qualified to pursue an academic career in urology as well as a career in the world of private-practice. We cater to those requirements by offering a diverse and immense training experience. Residents rotate through several institutions, including the Kasr Al-Ainy Teaching Hospital Deaprtment 17, Cairo University Center for Urology, Nephrology and Renal Transplantation (King Fahd Center), Aboul-Reish Children's Hospital, and the New Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital (private practice). All facilities are within walking distance in Al-Manial District of Cairo, Egypt. |

The residency program covers four years of dedicated urology. Three residents are accepted each year through the Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of Medicine Residency Application Program, after having completed one year of internship.
We focus most on keeping the operative and clinical experiences of our residents extremely strong. In addition, each resident is actively involved in the completion of a Masters Degree and thesis which is the ground for research and publications.
