the resident's responsibilities but also clarifying what he should be
achieving over the entire extended program. According to the
department, resident urologists are expected

the OR, be able to scrub correctly and know the essentials of sterile
procedures.
- Develop a personal program of self-study and
professional growth with guidance from the faculty and other teaching
staff.
- Participate in safe, effective and compassionate
patient care under supervision, commensurate with their level of
advancement and responsibility.

held. Residents are expected to be punctual, on time in
attending the OR, OPC, and clinical ward duties all of which start at 8

attend ward and surgical activities daily with one day of leave per week
at the discretion of their direct supervisor. This does not preclude the
resident performing his own rounds for patient care on a twice
daily basis.

rounds and while presenting talks.
All residents will be required to enter patient data
into the department filing system and to perform basic statistical
analyses. Adequate follow-up of patients is mandatory.
