The Center was inaugurated in 1986 and occupies three floors (4-6) of the Surgery and Emergency Building of Cairo University Hospitals. Its 65 inpatient beds form more than half of the Urology Department's inpatient capacity. The majority of beds are dedicated to urologic cases and the remaining beds are for cases that require nephrologic care and/or dialysis. Multidisciplinary meetings are often held for the joint care of the Center's patients. |
