The Kasr Al-Ainy Department of Urology features a state of the art stone shockwave unit aimed at treating renal and ureteric stones using extracorporeal shockwaves (ESWL). The unit operates a Dornier HM-4 lithotriptor and is fully equipped with flouroscopic and ultrasound stone localization. Special accomodations are available for treating children, which can be treated under anaesthesia. This specialized unit offers services to inpatients and outpatients as well as accepting referrals from other hospitals in Cairo and nationwide. Located on the 5th floor of the King Fahd Center |
