Located in the Cairo University Childrens Hospital (Aboul Riesh), the Kasr Al-Ainy Pediatric Urology Unit has provided compassionate care tailored to the special needs of the little ones for decades. Implementing the latest treatments and techniques, including minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, for a full spectrum of congenital and acquired urological conditions, has become the essence of their practice. The Aboul Riesh Pediatric Urology Unit will operate the nation's only public (free) renal transplantation for children by next year. |
The urologists often work within a multidisciplinary team of pediatric endocrinologists, nephrologists, radiologists, oncologists, intensivists, orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons proficient in the evaluation and management of complex cases. Our highly trained experts are committed to providing the best.
The Aboul Riesh Pediatric Urology Unit is served by a designated
operating room and operative staff. The Unit is also Cairo's only pediatric urology trauma team with 24/7 service for cases of urologic injuries. In addition other non-traumatic emergencies are dealt with promptly, including anuria and bladder extrophy. With expansions into the new Al-Muneera Building in close sight, the team will be ready to run the nation's largest dedicated pediatric urology program.
